I was born in Mexico (in a beautiful small town called Cuernavaca). I did my bachelors on Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Universidad de las Americas Puebla. I then moved to the Netherlands and did my Masters with an Infectious and Immunity focus at the University of Groningen. As part of my Masters, I came to UC Berkeley to work in the Portnoy lab for a six-month internship and later stayed for another year. Now, I am starting the Microbiology PhD program!
