"Hard work, extraordinary talent, excellence in teaching"
The Department of Plant & Microbial Biology has awarded four graduate students for their outstanding work as Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs).
Shannon Greene, Megan Cohn, Jake Brunkard, and Nhu Nguyen (not pictured) were all recognized by Professor and Head Graduate Advisor Pat Zambryski at the departmental student/post-doc seminar on 3/19.
In addition, Megan Cohn and Jake Brunkard will receive the GSI Teaching & Resource Center's outstanding GSI award. This award gives campuswide recognition to those GSIs who have demonstrated excellence in teaching.
“We are very lucky to have such great graduate students in the department! These awards recognize their hard work, extraordinary talent, enthusiasm, and excellence in teaching," said Rocío Sanchez, the department's Graduate Student Advisor.
